Headwound                                                    ©  Christian Moss

Freshly clipped and feeling confident

The mood is up, I'm mixing relatively well

The intro that I recognise, it's up I go,

twenty seconds later when I feel a blow,

hands to my head so know I know that red stuff's coming out

It's a head wound, another blot on my copybook skull

No heroics in this one, just mindless collision

Well I'd love to stay, it's time I was leaving

It appears my head is leaking

And now it's three hours in A and E to round it off,

with all the casualties of a night gone wrong,

Mr. Barr and I are joking when she calls, the nurse with a staple gun (I can’t run)

It's a head wound, another blot on my copybook skull

No heroics in this one, just mindless collision

I need this like I need a hole in the head

I need this like I need a hole in my head

I need this like I need a hole in my head
